The Quest Schema

Page history last edited by Brad 2 yrs ago

The tour stops, awards ceremonies, and Nashville recording studios were the ORDINARY WORLD of Garth Brooks. As he achieved fame and fortune with his music, behind his persona (his image)  Brooks longed for something different.  This longing for something new, his INNER PROBLEM, resulted from the insulated and insular world he lived in. Surrounded with expectations (the OUTER PROBLEM), Brooks decided to reinvent himself as Chris Gaines. As he shifts into this new, SPECIAL WORLD, he does so to address both his INNER PROBLEM and OUTER PROBLEM. The problem with this reinvention of his persona was that Brooks neglected to predict the response of his audience (THRESHOLD GUARDIANS or SENDERS), who denied Brooks this passage by ignoring Chris Gaines and pressing Brooks to return to the image that they had come to love (the ORDINARY WORLD).
