The members of Black Dice behind their machines.
To this day, I often look through the music for human characteristics - searching for a way to connect with the artist. Even in the most mechanical and noisy types of music, I still look to connect with the humans on the other side, and when this isn't possible, I don't stop loving the music, but it definitely means less to me. Using this knowledge about myself, uncovered in this class, I was able to finally pin down why I wasn't able to connect with the newest Black Dice album. While the sounds on the album were beautiful, I felt like the music was lacking the human element - like I couldn't connect with the people behind the sounds. In my review (third one down), I felt like I was finally able to put this feeling into words - a major step forward for Gut Musicology.
